The Microgarden by Swedish-based design studio COMPUTER SKILLS Adult Basic Education uses transparent seaweed based agar-agar gel as a growing medium for its contained plant elements. Because the microgreens’ roots absorb moisture from this gel, no watering is required for the mini garden’s upkeep. Moreover, the garden’s transparent shell allows users to keep track of blooming sprouts as they grow.
